YOSHIKAWA Yukihira Saucepan

The Yukihira Saucepan is part of the YOSHIKAWA classic collection of traditional Japanese cookware made in Tsubame, a small city known for high quality metalworking since its farmers began hand making iron nails in the 17th century. Measurement Marker

The markers enable you to measure quantities and serving portions.

16cm: 400ml, 600ml, 800ml and 1000ml markers
18cm: 400ml, 600ml, 800ml, 1000ml and 1200ml
20cm: 800ml, 1200ml and 1600ml
22cm: 800ml, 1200ml, 1600ml and 2000ml

Lips for Pouring from Either Side

Lips on either side of the pan help you to pour your stew and soup dishes. Practical for both right and left-handed cooks.

How to use and care

After use, wash the stainless steel Yukihira saucepan well with a sponge scrubber with dishwashing detergent and wipe dry, and store it with the rim facing up. Do not leave the pot face down when wet. To remove burn marks from the Yukihira saucepan, soak it in hot water to soften before removing. Do not scrub with a knife or similar tool as it will scratch the surface.

Use and Care:
● Avoid heating the cookware empty as this may cause damage and discoloration. In case the cookware was heated emptily, allow it to cool naturally before handling it or washing it in water.
● The cookware is not a frying pan and is not intended to be used for frying. When used without adequate liquid, the cookware may heat-up excessively leading to damage or discoloration.
● When using on gas cook tops, do not let the flame climb up on the side by adjusting the heating level as this may burn and damage the handle.
● Do not use the cookware for deep-frying.
● As the handle is made of natural wood, wobbling may occur due to wood shrinkage depending on usage and storage conditions. If this occurs, tighten the screw to secure the handle before usage.

Cleaning:
● To remove burnt deposits, soak the cookware in warm water to soften the residues before cleaning. Avoid using anything abrasive such as steel wool or sharp objects as this will scratch the cookware surface.
● Do not use abrasive cleaners such as chlorine bleach.
● To maintain quality and product longevity, hand-washing is recommended.
