Unleash the flavor of Japan & Korea: Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce with Roasted Garlic 250ml!

Teriyaki lovers and barbecue fans will adore our classic Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade with delicious roasted garlic. Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce with Roasted Garlic adds a subtle spicy nuance to meat, poultry, fish and vegetable dishes. Containing selected ingredients and garlic, this is the perfect sauce to spice up savory barbecued, oven-cooked or pan-fried foods – and it’s delicious as a dip. Like all the other Kikkoman teriyaki sauces, Teriyaki Sauce with Roasted Garlic is made on the basis of our Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Soy Sauce.

Teriyaki is a combination of the two Japanese words “teri” (glaze) and “yaki” (to grill or braise). The Japanese have been preparing traditional teriyaki-style foods for generations. First of all the seafood, meat or vegetables are put into a teriyaki marinade before they are fried, braised or grilled. Classic teriyaki sauces have a sweet-savory flavor that adds a special taste dimension to foods cooked in the pan, in the oven or on the barbecue. And teriyaki isn’t just for Japanese cuisine! Teriyaki sauces are also ideal as a seasoning for traditional pan-fried, oven-baked or grilled foods from all over the world. The Kikkoman teriyaki sauces are premium-quality ready-to-use marinades. They are available in various flavors: pure and delicious as Teriyaki Marinade, or with roasted garlic, honey or toasted sesame – and there’s also a gluten-free version. Give them a try! They're a great way to incorporate new flavors into marinated and grilled foods. This Kikkoman sauce is suitable for vegans.

Frequently asked questions

For best flavor absorption, marinate proteins such as chicken, beef, or tofu for at least 30 minutes. For deeper flavor, marinate in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 hours. Over-marinating for more than 8 hours is generally not recommended as it can alter the texture of some proteins.

To prevent burning while grilling, apply the sauce during the final 5-10 minutes of cooking. Brush the sauce onto your protein in layers, allowing each layer to caramelize slightly before adding the next. Alternatively, grill the protein mostly plain and then toss it in warmed sauce just before serving.

To enhance the roasted garlic flavor, you can add a touch of minced fresh garlic during cooking. For a spicier kick, incorporate a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of sriracha. If you prefer a sweeter profile, a small amount of honey or brown sugar can be stirred in. For a thicker consistency, simmer the sauce briefly or add a cornstarch slurry.

The Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce with Roasted Garlic features a prominent, savory roasted garlic flavor that adds depth and aroma compared to the classic version. While both are versatile, the roasted garlic variant is particularly suited for dishes where a robust, umami-rich garlic note is desired, such as grilled meats, stir-fries, or roasted vegetables. The classic offers a more balanced sweet and savory profile without a dominant garlic note.

This sauce pairs wonderfully with roasted root vegetables like carrots and parsnips, sautéed mushrooms, or glazed eggplant. It also complements firm tofu, tempeh, and hearty grains such as quinoa or brown rice. Consider it as a finishing sauce for scrambled eggs or an unexpected addition to avocado toast for a savory twist.
