A cookbook for beginners and advanced Sarah Becan is a designer, writer, comic artist, and illustrator. Her work has appeared in numerous print and online magazines, including Saveur and the Chicago Reader, Eater and TruthOut. Hugh Amano grew up in Colorado. The son of a Japanese father, he spent most of his summer holidays with his relatives in Kyoto, where he got to know and appreciate Japanese cuisine and especially Japanese noodle soups. He studied at the University of Colorado and trained as a chef at the New England Culinary Institute. Amano is a chef and writer living in Chicago, where he always has a bowl of ramen waiting for him.
