Japanese at Home - and absolutely easy!

Japanese cuisine is considered very healthy - Japan has one of the highest life expectancies in the world - but also too complicated to cook. Best-selling author Kimiko Barber proves with her new book, which is less a basic book and more a practical recipe guide, that there is another way: on 256 pages you will find lots of easy-to-implement traditional and modern recipes of Japanese cuisine, as well as ingenious interpretations and ideas by the author, which make it possible to integrate the Japanese way of cooking into everyday European cooking in an uncomplicated way.

In contrast to the usual order of cooking methods, the recipes are sorted according to starters, main courses and desserts, as is customary in this country. In addition, there is a small tea lesson and useful information on the necessary kitchen utensils. This makes the world of sushi, ramen & co. really easy to recreate at home.

Stylishly staged with photos by Emma Lee and a clear, modern design, the book immediately makes you want to set off on a culinary voyage of discovery to the "Land of the Rising Sun".

Washoku - Japanese cooking at home (German Edition)

Traditional and modern recipes from dashi and ramen to sushi and tonkatsu.

Kimiko Barber came to England from Japan in the 1970s and quickly realized how important her grandmother's culinary heritage would be to her survival.

After graduating from university, she pursued a career as an investment banker in London and Tokyo. A chance visit to a bookshop specializing in cookery books changed her life forever: since then she has taught Japanese cooking at cookery schools throughout the UK and is the author of numerous books on Japanese cuisine.
